valancystirlingI think I've decided yet again that I want to live in coastal Maine. Not like SouleMama or anything, of course. Her post today makes me want to move there even more, though. We used to drive up to LL Bean once in a while when we lived in Boston, and I always thought that rocky coastline was something special. I always wished we had spent more time there. Maybe during Jake's week of forced vacation in July?
We have another showing on Wednesday, and I talked to the realtor and she was very positive about the open house. Which is what she's paid to be, so it doesn't count. She said one guy seemed really interested. And people raved about the yard and the back porch and the bathrooms and the kitchen cabinets. I feel like, if people are going to complain about the house being too small, then that's really only big strike against it, which is no surprise, and which we can do nothing about. To me, that suggests I'd better start relaxing and consider myself done.
So far today I've made french toast and swapped the kids' winter stuff for their summer clothes. So that's something. I've been looking up cars and trying to decide if I feel like calling Geico to get quotes on the ones I'm interested in. It's so bizarre to read reviews about cars--on consumer reports they give one impression, then that will be completely contradicted by reviews some other place. It's impossible to really learn anything without going to see it in person.
