valancystirlingWe were half planning to go to Boston this weekend but decided not to this morning. After much deliberation, and the idea that we have to go somewhere! we got online and looked up stuff to do around Ithaca. We briefly entertained the notion of going to Montreal, then NYC, then Ohio, then Philadelphia, then Scranton. But our default is always Ithaca. So Jake came across this placed called the Book Barn, near Ithaca, that has something like 125,000 rare, new and used books. That's exactly the type of thing we drive absurd distances for.
It was cool. I got a couple of obscure knitting books that I'm simply delighted to have found, and Jake got a book all about building barns and chicken houses and stuff. GOOD TIMES.
My pants have seriously gotten too big. They're literally falling off of me. I don't even have to unbutton them to take them off. So today, after giving the entire Borders cafe a lovely view of my skivvies, I went to Old Navy and got a new pair of pants. Blue. I like blue. And they're two sizes smaller and don't fall off. I like that in a pair of pants.
I'm giving way too much serious thought to exactly what kind of square I'm going to make for Shawn. There are just so many possibilities.
