The weather the past few days is giving me hope. I have to say that fall is definitely my favorite season. Of course, I probably also say the same thing right around the beginning of spring. But seriously, I look good in brown, and fall is when you wear brown. And a bunch of other colors I look good in. And also, I have far too much knitted stuff sitting around all year, and it all gets worn in fall and winter.

ANYWAY.

I spent $75 on cloth diapers this morning. That comes out to 7 diapers. I also ordered a birth pool.

I feel like shit today, largely because while I was out having a lovely morning walk yesterday, I slipped on a dewy hill and busted my ass. So today I feel like I've been hit by a truck, not to mention I just feel shitty in general, fatigued from lack of sleep due to my stupid fucking hip that won't stop killing me slowly, and feeling bruised on the inside because I have been kicked in the ribs fairly constantly for about a week now.

And naturally, I won't take so much as Tylenol for any of this. I told Jake I'm not so much of a martyr that I would suffer in silence, so I will suffer loudly. Whine whine whine.

I think next time I'm going to plan it so I'm pregnant over a long winter. I've been so incredibly hot-natured during this pregnancy that I have wanted to die many times. I have only covered myself with a thin sheet a couple of times at night. I think a winter pregnancy could save us a lot on our electric bills because I'm usually very cold-natured.

I made an appointment with the chiropractor for next Thursday. I'm sure by then I'll feel FINE.

We're going to Ithaca tomorrow to buy a monstrously huge bookcase. I have finally gotten supremely fed up with the clutter (mostly books) in this apartment. I would like to see the floor for once, and possibly even be able to vacuum it. Imagine that!

I found some really cute thank you cards today, so if anyone sends me any baby stuff, I would maybe go out and buy them and even send them. I would have bought them on good faith, but I tend to think that's folly.

Five paychecks to go. We're putting a sizable chunk into our credit card this week, which will feel really good. We're hoping for (counting on) a nice big tax refund this year, which should knock all our debt out in one fell swoop, as well as start off our House Down Payment Fund.

I bought something today that will be Jake's mom's birthday present, if I can bear to part with it myself. It is the most fabulously gorgeous thing I've ever bought. But then, they say you should buy someone a present you would want yourself...

Tomorrow is some art/music thing at the Cyber Cafe, so maybe we'll check that out. It's nice to be outside on these pre-fall days. There's just a bit of a change in the air, and the oppressive heat seems on vacation. I'm sure we'll have more hot days before it's all over, but the beginning of the end of summer has finally arrived.
