Apr. 1st, 2005 03:07 pmI just got a package! Thank you,
spoothbrush for the present! And now I get to send you a real, proper thank you card. I knew I bought them for a reason :)
For those of you losers who clearly don't care enough about me to buy me plates, allow me to subtly point your attention in this direction: http://amazon.com/gp/registry/9ZM4YNU95QC2
You should see me when I REALLY turn on the charm :P
I have discovered true happiness at last. It comes in pints, like so many good things, and is GODIVA ICE CREAM. Vanilla ice cream with chocolate caramel covered pecans. When I thought I would never eat again, it saved me.
Our front door was stripped and repainted today. I think they're finally done, but they've been here since early this morning. I sought refuge in the bedroom with a lovely Michael Crichton book (Timeline, which I've never read before but is fabulous and I'm flying through) for many hours.
I'm in much better spirits today, despite the fact that I am blatantly not getting certain things done that need to get done. I have a good book, good ice cream (while it lasted) and no one here to bug me about ANYTHING. The phone hasn't even rung. It's like my own little paradise.
EDIT: This is the best april fool's joke ever--practically forcing people to spell check their entries before posting! And then Processing Whining! Hahahaha!

Date: 2005-04-03 11:00 pm (UTC)I am confused, however, because Amazon just sent me an e-mail telling me that the order was delayed. I can think of three possible explanations for this:
1) Someone else has sent you a present in my name.
2) You will have yet more plates coming to you. From me.
3) Amazon is on crack.
Take your pick, I guess.
