Dec. 18th, 2006 11:09 amI think today is the first day I've felt like I'm finally settled. I have--mostly--a place for everything, rooms are organized, things make sense, I have routines, things are not terribly difficult. When I want clean clothes, I have my own washer and dryer. I have almost everything I need to be comfortable and functional here. I do need to get a few key things--futon for guest room, rocking chair, baby monitor, more chairs, coffee table, lamps, stuff for the walls. That's about it. Things are going smoothly. I feel like I can take on new projects now. I feel good about working for homebirth, I love that I'm making presents for Topie, and I'm not overwhelmed. It's a really good feeling for a change.
That said, I have so much to do this week. I have so many cookies to bake, the kitchen and bathroom to clean, laundry to do, and projects to finish in time for Christmas. But it's all good.
