I hate it when old scars hurt.

A couple of years ago we were on a road trip and I had haphazardly thrown together an overnight bag. I reached into my toiletries bag and the tip of my pinky finger came up bloody, lacking a nice chunk of flesh, and hurting like hell. I had found my razor.

And now I have this lovely round scar on the tip of my finger and it still stings and throbs and generally annoys me.

I also have a nice scar on the arch of my right foot, where I stabbed myself with a garden rake. One of those lovely four-pronged not-quite-a-pitchfork but close enough type things. One of the prongs went all the way through my foot and poked out the top. Very nice. And that still hurts sometimes too. It's like I can feel a little tingly tunnel all the way through my foot. Ugh.

But obviously, the pain of these events was all worth it because I got a whole post out of it.

haha! That really is the best part. Be glad I didn't go into a vivid description of that second scar story.

Would it help to say I was in bare feet and had just used said rake to mix cow manure into my vegetable garden?
