Sometimes I get totally annoyed by certain people on my friends list who whine and complain about things in their lives like it's the end of the world, and seem to have absolutely no sense of proportion. I propbably hate it so much because I'm one of those people, and that's how it works. I mean, fine, whatever, it's easy to get all bent out of shape over things that are petty and insignificant when your life is going totally fine. Some of us seem to need to obsess over something ALL THE TIME. Maybe it makes us feel important or something. I have no idea.

I read this book yesterday, Sea Glass, and it made me feel stupid for ever whining about anything. For the most part, our problems are made up just to give us something to do. Right now, I've pretty well realised that my life is going well and that any minor annoyances I find myself stressing over are just that--minor annoyances.

But then I suppose I should keep in mind that people have different priorities and different ideas of what is important and worthwhile, and who am I to tell them they're wrong? I don't necessarily feel overly confident in my own rightness most of the time.

But still, I wish I could hand out a healthy dose of perspective sometimes. Just realise that in the grand scheme of things, chances are, what you're worrying over doesn't really matter. Relax.
