Aug. 29th, 2005 03:37 pmIf you get a string of excessively late replies from me anytime soon, it is because I am finally trying to catch up on all the comments I've not bothered to address for a while, or that I didn't see because my inbox is out of control.
Our stroller/car seat was shipped today. Woohoo and all that. I still think the stroller is ridiculous, and I'd rather just use a sling(which I already have) and then one of those cute zippy little Maclaren strollers that fold up to nothing. But Jake wants the baby tank, and so he shall have it.
We have very little left to buy. Mostly just baby clothes and stuff like baby nail clippers and a bath tub thingy. And more diapers. And stuff. But no more big expenses.
I'm feeling a bit more calm.
Although, our midwife comes over to check things out in about 5 weeks, so I am feeling slight panic over how in the world I'll ever get this place together in five weeks, all by myself. I'm hoping that nesting thing kicks in soon, or I'm in serious trouble. Just the dust alone in this place should disqualify us from even being parents.
But of course, I'll be working on training the spiders to help clean and do various household tasks. Surely it's not so much to ask that they chip in now and then, right? Although I will say, the one by our front door scored major brownie points the other day by catching a large and rather menacing looking spider. I feel like that one is exempt from cleaning because of that.
