valancystirlingI am SO TIRED. Went to bed with Topaz around 1am, and just woke up. She's still asleep. Do I really NEED 10 hours of sleep? Apparently.
It's another gorgeous day, so I'll probably drag her out for a walk.
Yesterday I had a great baby experience. I stopped at Wegmans and Topie was asleep in the carseat. I pulled her out and put her in my new ring sling. She woke up briefly but went mostly back to sleep. She seemed hungry, and I weighed my options. I could sit down in the car and this ordeal could take a lot longer, or I could try nursing in the sling. I hadn't had much luck nursing in carriers, so I didn't have high hopes. But it worked! I walked across the parking lot feeding a sleeping baby and no one had any idea. It was very cool. There's so much extra fabric on the sling that discretion is easy. Plenty to cover her AND me. I went inside and sat down to let her finish, and then got my shopping done and left. She slept the entire time and didn't even wake up when I put her back in the carseat. I can't imagine why I didn't try this before.
But why is it that so many people give me dirty looks for carrying her in a sling or baby carrier? Young girls tell me it's cool, but older people just give me nasty looks. It's a good thing I don't care about that sort of thing, I just wonder about it. What possible reason could they have for me carrying a happy baby around with ease? Should I be uncomfortable dragging her around in the carseat? No idea.
Finished Topie's purple soaker yesterday. I'll take some pictures later. I have all these camera issues. If I want to take pictures outside, Lari's camera doesn't work. So I use my crappy camera phone. Inside, I use Lari's camera. But neither of them really captures much detail, and often colors come out totally wrong with both cameras. Very frustrating. Whatever. No matter what, I'll have enough money next Friday, and then I can start talking about something else for once.

i stopped by a second hand store the other day and they had a ring sling that was HUGE with an obscene amoun of fabric.
i thought maybe it was OTSBH, but i looked those up online and this one had even more fabric than those....it was gigantic compared with the NoJo next to it.
it was only 10.99. i'm gonng atake stuff today to trade in and if it's still there, i'm going to get it. zachery told me not to, but i haven't been able to nurse avery in anything correctly and i really want to be able to, if need be.
