Someone please please please suggest a carseat that 1) Philip cannot escape from; and 2) Philip is not too tall for. No, I don't know his height and weight offhand, but he is almost at the top of his Britax Decathlon already. Which shocks the hell out of me because Topaz JUST got to that point on hers a few months ago. No booster seats, he's only 2.3 years old. WHAT DO I DO????? I so did not think I would have to deal with this. Also, if I could be super picky, I would like way more room around the crotch buckle because if I tighten the straps enough to actually hold Philip in the seat, it crushes him there. He's maxed out on how far we can adjust it. I don't know what to do, and I really don't want to spend a ton of time researching from this point of having no clue. Suggest something?!

I think the seat we have has all those same specs--wait, not the head adjust thing, and yet he escapes and is too tall. I'll compare those to the Britax.

We loved our Radians (it was the only seat that would fit three across the backseat of the Prius), but they are easy for my kids to buckle themselves in and out of. Once they've figured out a buckle mechanism, I don't know if there is anything that's childproof anymore, honestly.

Thing is, he hasn't figured out the buckle thing yet, but I'm sure that's just around the corner. He wiggles out. I have to pull over on the freeway sometimes to get him back in. Scary! I am terrified, what if someone rear ends me again when he's hanging out of his seat?!

I swear, duct tape. DUCT TAPE.

Ohhhhh he wiggles out. Radian might do you, then, since they're made for long kids. They are HEAVY and expensive, but we got good use out of them.

I will testify to Philip being the most determined escape artist of a child I have ever seen. My heart beats a little bit faster when I hear him come down the stairs. I'm scared to death that I'm the one that he's going to escape from--Julie is a superhero.

I will be Philip-proofed by the end of the visit, I can only hope.
