I tend to portray myself as really fucking stupid. I'm so convincing, I think, that I believe myself most of the time. The idea that I'm taking a college class scares the be-cripees outta me.

But then I go out in the world and realize how ridiculously stupid most of it is, or I find someone to talk to who's at my level of intelligence, and I think, wow, I really should get out more...

I know EXACTLY what you mean. It's hard to get an accurate picture of yourself and how you "rate" in comparison to the average idiot, but taking a class in something you love is one hell of a good way to do that.
