Sep. 10th, 2004 09:39 amJake and I have had amusing conversations lately.
I am STILL manic, if you can imagine. This is like a record.
It's pretty bad when I crack myself up every time I open my mouth.
I really need a shower.
I'm trying to figure out measurements for Taylor's birthday present based on standard clothing sizes, but still i'm having a hard time. grr. at least i have settled on a stitch patter which is excessively cool.
when i ask for an iced hazelnut coffee with cream, that doesn't mean i'm willing to settle for an iced vanilla with whole milk. just so you know. bastards.
jake and i are having a battle over whose brain is more impressive. i think we all know who's going to ultimately win this.
i finished a stupid scarf yesterday. it was my manic nervous energy something to keep my hands from twitching, but not enough to actually engage my mind project. it even LOOKS manic. maybe i'll post a picture later.
i have much to do today. in fact, i should write it all here as a to-do list. here goes.
*last load of laundry
*pack shit for the trip
*vacuum
*unload the dishwasher
*take movies back to the library and print out some stuff there
*collect yarn for shawn's SQUARE so i can work on it in NC
*look at the new knitty
*go back to dunkin donuts for the drink i actually ordered
*do something with my nails
*maybe a haircut
*balance the checkbook
*make road trip CDs
*deal with the out of control patio garden
*find out about yoga and kickboxing classes
*go to michaels and get smaller size needles to finish the blue tank top
*FIND FUCKING DAY PLANNER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
Yeah, that's about it. I think.
We watched Rebecca last night. Fabulous movie. I saw it a couple times years ago and wanted Jake to see it. Of course, he never just sits down to watch a movie. No, it's much more complicated than that. He sits at the computer doing whatever he's doing, adn I start the movie. He seems to ignore it. I pause it to go to the bathroom or whatever, and by the time i get back he's eager for me to start it. This is the way of the jake. He was more engrossed than i was, by the end of it. Quite amusing.
